Since last year, fans have been asking for more details about both "Pokémon GO" and "Pokémon Z," and it seems wishes will come true as it has been revealed that big announcements will be made about the upcoming games during this year's Game Developers Conference.
According to Neurogadget, Niantic will be giving fans a closer look at "Pokémon GO." The company's chief, John Hanke, will grace the event and it is expected that he will discuss more about the gameplay. His comments are expected to please critics and doubters who still cannot grasp the idea of augmented reality integrated in a mobile game.
Aside from the gameplay, it is expected that Hanke will give further explanations about how players will interact with other gamers around the world. The game's design and stages of development are also said to be unveiled, to give fans a better idea on how the team was able to come up with one of the most brilliant games in the industry.
Meanwhile, it is still unclear if Game Freak will display more details about "Pokémon Z" in the upcoming event. Although previous rumors suggested that the game will be released along with "Pokémon GO," there has been no official confirmation about the much-anticipated game's unveiling during GDC 2016.
Along with the rumor that Game Freak might attend the March event, it is also said that the official release date of "Pokémon GO" will finally be announced then.
In other news about the franchise that recently celebrated its 20th anniversary, a new character will be introduced through a movie that is rumored to come out this summer. According to Serebii, this new Pokémon is called Magiana. In the movie, Ash and his friends continue their journey around the world but will be involved in the chase for Magiana, a mysterious Pokémon that Volcanion is looking for.
"Pokémon GO" and "Pokémon Z" are expected to release sometime in 2016.
